Single Equality Scheme 2010-2013 

The Housing Services Single Equality Scheme (SES) represents our commitment to ensuring that we (Rotherham Borough Council) as a landlord offers fair access to social housing and the services we provide.

This is the second Single Equality Scheme for housing services; it builds on the first scheme and knowledge gained throughout the three previous years.

Our customers are young, single or part of a family, empty nesters or older, some live in sheltered housing, some are from different backgrounds and circumstances, disabled people, from a different ethnicity, sexuality, gender, faith or belief, some customers have identified that they are living in fuel poverty.

It is important to Rotherham Borough Council to be able to deliver our services to our customers according to their needs, providing warm, safe and secure homes in welcoming neighbourhoods within Rotherham.
