In partnership with 2010 Rotherham Ltd, Rotherham Borough Council is changing its tenancy agreement. This is to ensure the document is up to date, reflects all changes in legislation and the rights and responsibilities of both tenant and landlord.
Most tenants will have received a legal notice detailing the proposed changes and inviting them to view the document and make comments.
Please click the following links for a copy of the proposed document and feedback form.
Alternatively customers can view the document at:
- Local Neighbourhood Offices
- Customer Service Centres
- Key Choices Property Shop
Here staff will be able to talk customers through the changes and explain the next steps.
During this time we are keen to receive as many comments as possible from customers and stakeholders. As a result we have decided to extend the legal 4 weeks consultation period with customers to 12 weeks. This means customers have until the 3rd November 2008 to give feedback.
To support customers further we have arranged numerous road shows around the borough throughout August and September where customers can get further information.
Road show details are as follows:
06.09.08 10am – 5pm Rotherham Show Clifton Park Rotherham

Following customer consultation the tenancy agreement will be finalised considering all comments received. Tenants will then receive a Notice of Variation detailing all the changes in November 2008. The changes will take affect from January 2009.
