FINDING A HOME

MOVING IN

Finding and moving into your new home can be both an exciting and stressful time. 2010 Rotherham is on hand to support you through this process.

2010 Rotherham manages Rotherham Borough Council's housing stock on behalf of the Council (the landlord). The initial search for a home a Council home is done through the Council's Key Choices Letting Scheme.

Anyone can apply for a Council home and thre are a number of different types of Council homes available. These include two and three bedroom houses, flats, and sheltered accomodation with a warden service.

To find a home of your choice, you are invited to complete a simple registeration form with the Key Choices Letting Scheme

Key Choices is a scheme introduced by the Council that lets you apply for a home of your choice instead of waiting for an offer that someone else thinks is suitable.

Not only will you be able to move to the area of your choice but you will aso be able to choose when you want to move. However, this will still depend on the length of time you have been on the housing register and the length of time you wait may vary depending on the areas you choose.
